HUYGENS SCHOLARSHIP

HUYGENS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME

Since 2006 the Netherlands' Huygens programme and the Talent Programme have been absorbed into Huygens Scholarship Programme (HSP).

HSP is targeted at international students and researchers who want to study or undertake research in the Netherlands (Huygens International Programme) and at Dutch students and researchers who want to gain some international study or research experience (Huygens Talent Programme).

The objectives of the programme are, to further the process of internationalization in Dutch higher education, to contribute to the further development of the Dutch knowledge society.

Funding: The Ministry of Education aims to achieve these objectives by offering scholarships to the brightest students.

Opportunities: HSP is a global programme: students and researchers from any country in the world can apply for a scholarship.
Dutch candidates can apply to study or conduct research anywhere in the world.

The Netherlands Embassies will no longer play an active role in the new Huygens Scholarship Programme.  Applicants will have to apply according to the new instructions.
