How do I renew my Dutch driver's licence? |

Als u niet in Nederland of in een lidstaat van de Europese Unie (EU) of Europese Vrijhandels Associatie (EVA) woont, kunt u de Rijksdienst Wegverkeer - RDW via e-mail vragen om een aanvraagformulier voor een nieuw rijbewijs. Het formulier is voorzien van een sticker voor de pasfoto en is daarom niet via de website te downloaden. De RDW stuurt u het aanvraagformulier zo spoedig mogelijk toe. In de handleiding kunt u vinden welke documenten u bij de aanvraag moet voegen."

Your Netherlands driver's licence can only be renewed in the Netherlands. Issuance and renewal of Dutch driver's licences are processed by the "Rijksdienst voor het Wegverkeer" (RDW) in the Netherlands.
If you are no longer a resident in the Netherlands (having signed out ('uitgeschreven') at the municipality) you will need proof of residence in New Zealand. This proof of residence declaration can be issued by any Dutch consular mission in New Zealand.
You do need to provide documentation and pay a fee.
