Stolen or lost Passport |
|
If your passport has been lost or stolen, you should contact the Netherlands representation in your region.
You must complete an application form and pay the necessary fee.* * Cash payment is only possible if you appear in person at the Consulate-General in Auckland or Christchurch or the embassy in Wellington. In all other cases payment is only possible by money order (obtainable from the post office) or by cheque.
You need to bring the following documents: - Proof that you have reported your passport missing with the police;
- ‘verklaring van vermissing’.
Personal passport information will be verified with the office that has issued the missing/stolen passport. An additional fee may be applicable. Only after this verification procedure is completed a new passport may be issued.
To establish the identity, additional photo ID's must be submitted, i.e. driver's licence or other documents such as copy of birth certificate, copy of old passport, etc.
Persons not residing in New Zealand will be issued an emergency document (Noodpaspoort) with limited validity.
